Rebuilding Chapati Northfield Restaurant

Hello, this is Katrina Carney and I am a close friend of Azrin's, the daughter of Chapati’s owner. I have known the Awal family for over a decade. They are very friendly, loving, and dedicated to their family and community. They are generous to a fault, finding ways to support their neighbors and communities. I have seen them dedicate themselves to sharing their culture and food with their friends and it was devastating to hear how their family restaurant was affected by the fire. It is time that their neighbors and friends support them back. I wanted to make this fundraiser to help support her, her family, and Chapati itself after the building burned down. I will be updating this page whenever I withdraw and send the money directly to Chapati. Below is a statement from Azrin.
 
“My name is Azrin, daughter of Mohammed Awal. Our family restaurant, Chapati, was located in  Northfield's historic Archer House. On Thursday afternoon, my father watched as his restaurant burned when the fire at Northfield's historic Archer House River Inn started. We lost not just our restaurant, but other businesses that were affected by the fire, and the historical 143 year-old building. We want to rebuild our restaurant in Northfield, and continue to provide a space for the community and students to gather and break bread together. We would appreciate any support that you can give us, not just monetarily, but please send the families and businesses affected by the fire your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.”
