Hello, my name is Anna and I am fundraising to support medical expenses to help reduce pain and improve mobility for my young and brave friend Masha. Here is her story. In her early twenties, after graduating from a very prestigious technical college in Moscow, she embarked on a journey to pursue a PhD in Bioengineering at the University of Washington. With a love for the outdoors and an ambitious spirit, she thrived at school despite battling through 7 abdominal surgeries. She was about to start her first year at the University of Washington, when a sudden and unexplained paralysis shattered her world. Unable to walk and facing a maze of medical uncertainties, she and her husband are struggling to make ends meet while waiting for her student visa. They lack transportation options and desperately need financial support for medical bills, doctor's visits, and a custom active wheelchair.
