Rebuilding FIEL

Donation protected

UPDATE AS OF JULY 11, 2024:

It is sad to report the update that unfor

unately our landlord refuses to work with us and wants to take shorcuts that could potentially put our staff and clients at risk.

For this reason we are unfortunately going to have to relocate. We are devastated by this as our center had become a beacon of hope for the immigrant community specially in Southwest Houston. Nevertheless, we are confident that we will find something better that will be relatively close to old headquarters so we can continue to service the community in the greater Houston area. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this can cost and vow continue our work no matter what. We are Houston Strong

July 9, 2024:

Today, I saw a large part of my husband's life crumble completely. It weighs very heavy, because right before the storm hit, he expressed to me that he was going to stay put and be ready to respond to any help that was needed in the community.

It wasn't until today that Cesar, Aura, and Abraham Espinosa went to FIEL headquarters to make sure everything was in order, that they came across caved in roof, flooded floors, and damaged equipment.

The look on everyone's face was devastating, all their hardwork had been taken in a blink of an eye.

It is our turn to return the favor and help them bring all hands on deck to rebuild FIEL.

"Dear Supporters of FIEL,

Since 2007 we have been at the forefront of helping out our community, especially the ones in most need. From hurricane harvey to the winter freeze to the many natural disasters our city has faced, we have been boots on the ground providing resources to our community. Today we come to you with a broken heart that it us who need your help.

We are facing an unprecedented challenge as Hurricane Beryl has devastated the majority of our headquarters. Our offices, equipment, and supplies have been severely affected, this natural disaster has left us reeling. Please consider making a donation to help us restore what was lost and ensure we can continue serving those who rely on us.

Together, we can turn and overcome this moment of hardship into an opportunity for resilience and renewal and emerge stronger than ever.

Thank you for your compassion and generosity.

Warm regards,

Cesar Espinosa
