Hi, my name is Sarah, and I’m raising funds for my sister Danielle and her family after a devastating house fire last night. An electrical spark ignited the dryer vent, causing a fire that resulted in the loss of many of their belongings.

Danielle’s bravery in this moment did not go unnoticed. She was featured on Channel 2 ABC Baltimore for helping contain the fire herself - using a hose to keep it from spreading and making sure it stayed away from her children. In the middle of chaos, her only focus was protecting her family, neighbors, and because of her quick actions, everyone made it out safely.

Danielle is a single mother of three - Dom, Sophia, and Makayla - who has worked incredibly hard over the years to build a life for her kids. Her son Dominic is special needs, which makes the stability she’s created for her family even more important. She works full time and has always pushed through, doing everything she can to provide, even when it hasn’t been easy. She’s the kind of mom who never stops showing up for her children, no matter what.

Our family is especially concerned because her daughter Makayla just welcomed a newborn baby only two weeks ago. In an instant, they lost so many essentials they rely on every day—clothing, furniture, and basic household necessities.

Sadly, like a lot of families just trying to keep up with life, she did not have insurance. In an instant, so much of what she worked for is gone.

We are so grateful that everyone is safe, but they are now faced with the overwhelming reality of starting over from scratch.
