Rebuilding Gaza Dreams: Aid for My Family
Donation protected
Salam,
My name is Dana and I am from the Gaza Strip. I was born and raised in the United States and graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. I am reaching out for support to help my family obtain essentials like food, water, and medicine to survive these harsh conditions. Their current situation is disastrous.
I have 267+ family members that are displaced, a dozen of family members that are injured, and over a dozen family members that are martyrs (Allah yirhamhum). These conditions are emphasized due to family members being blind and having physical implications. While my cousin was in the safe zone, a bombing caused him to be trapped in the rubbles and he is now facing severe injuries and cannot walk. This goes further than physical injuries; my family has no homes to return to.
For the past 130 days, my family has relocated multiple times due to the aerial bombings. They have extreme limited access to food, water, medicine, and electricity. Their homes have been destroyed, their businesses are destroyed, their personal belongings all gone; all they have are a few pieces of clothing that they hang on trees.
On my Father’s side I currently have 2 uncles, 4 aunts, their spouses, their children, grandchildren, and my Father’s cousins, totaling to 146 family members in Gaza.
On my Mother’s side I currently have my grandmother, 6 uncles, 1 aunt, their spouses, children, and grandchildren, totaling to 125 family members in Gaza.
My goal is twofold: to relocate those willing to leave Gaza to safety and to aid those who remain in Gaza to rebuild their shattered lives. Your help will give my family a chance for safety and a fresh start.
