Help Rebuild Gaza's Aljawad Riding Club

Hello! Thank you for visiting the Aljawad Riding Club Fundraiser. My name is Martha I am an adult amateur eventer in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. The love for equines has no borders, and if you feel the same, I invite you to learn about the Aljawad Riding Club, their dedicated staff and the loss of their 36 school horses in Gaza City.
The following words are from my friend, Ahmed Al-Reefi, the equestrian club's General Director:
"It was once a dream, but it turned into ashes. It used to be a source of income for 20 families, but now they find themselves lying on the ground, hungry and devastated. We believed in a sport and devoted all our energy (financially, intellectually, and physically) to excel and prosper in it. Horseback riding was a hobby that turned into a passion and addiction for us. We spared nothing and built and developed a club to become a beacon for equestrianism, striving to make it a moral and social hub where all sports are practiced. We built the arena, acquired the best local and foreign horses, and made it a place of relaxation and leisure.
However, all of this lasted only one year before everything was demolished, our dream shattered, and the horses killed, by the actions of the Israeli occupation forces.
Twenty families, whose only source of livelihood was destroyed, were displaced. We all hope to revive our dream and stand as supporters for these workers and their families. We hope for your support in rebuilding our club and our homes, and to compensate for some of our great losses."
Proceeds from this Fundraiser will be sent to Ahmed and used to replace the arena, the jump standards, the barn and the school horses that tragically lost their lives.
If you believe in the healing power that horses bring to their communities, please support by donating or sharing this link. Thank you!
