Rebuilding home after San Diego flood

Dear friends and community, Our home recently experienced a devastating flood, with three feet of water wreaking havoc on our living space. We are forced to pay out of pocket since the insurance company is not covering the damage. We have attempted to apply for multiple community grants and funds but we are being told we do not qualify based on income. My husband is currently on deployment, and he’s not authorized to return to assist. My 1 and a half year old son and I are staying in a hotel, and I had to rehome my 3 dogs because we could not afford to continue taking care of them. The water and trash cleanup is complete, but we now face the daunting task of rebuilding. The flood damaged our flooring, drywall, and cabinets, leaving us in need of essential repairs to make our house a home once again. This unforeseen disaster has taken a toll on our family emotionally and financially. We're reaching out to you, our community, for support in raising funds to cover the costs.
