Rebuilding Hoof & Horn Farm
Donation protected
Hoof and Horn Farm was devastated by Hurricane Helene. The two humans, nine horses, two donkeys, and four goats are safe, but we lost our barns, most of our fences, our bridge, and all our tools. We have immediate need for rebuilding supplies.
Our town has lost its roads, power, water, and internet. We have been mostly cut off from the outside world. The rebuilding work is underway, but we still sometimes have to walk two miles to the nearest functioning road, and we can only use the internet when we’re away from home. Drinking water is a scarce commodity. No laundry, no shower, no refrigerator.
In the first days after the storm, many friends of Hoof & Horn have come by, sometimes hiking for miles and wading through floodwater, to help out. It will take many dollars and many hours of work to rebuild. Any amount of support is welcome.
Hoof & Horn Farm is a horseback riding school in Barnardsville, NC. This fundraiser is managed by Jonathan, husband of Lauren.
