Rebuilding Hope: Aid for Fire Victim's Recovery
Donation protected
To all my friends and family... We are reaching out to you for support for my older brother... His house was recently in a fire that he believes started by squatters living next door in an abandoned house. My brother called the city several times to report how badly the house needed to be attended to. The grass in the backyard was really high and very dry with lots of mess everywhere. He believes the fire started and spread there. Because the city and owner would not do anything to fix this problem, my brother, along with others that lived in that neighborhood, suffered from it, burning down their home.
It's been almost a month since this happened. He is grateful to be alive along with his friend and her 3 grandchildren that were living with him. He had no idea his house was on fire until a neighbor came banging on his door to warn him. He's been trying to keep his faith that he would get through this and get back on his feet. He applied for lots of assistance and still has not received anything. He is hurting right now, especially with work being slow for him. We are asking for support from all of you to help him get back on his feet. He lost everything in the fire and is struggling to make ends meet. He is a really good guy that deserves the best. He's always there to help anyone in need. During winter, he does a drive every year to help the homeless get blankets, socks, whatever he can help with. This is one example of his kindness and him showing how much he cares.
We are asking for donations and prayers... Anything helps!! Thanks for showing love, family and friends... and God bless you!! ❤️
