Help Cecilia and Exequiel Rebuild After Losing Everything in Wildfires

Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Supporters,

My name is Vanessa, and I’m reaching out to ask for your help for my sister, Cecilia, and her husband, Exequiel, who have suffered a devastating loss. The recent wildfires in Altadena completely destroyed their home, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Cecilia and Exequiel are two of the most loving, hardworking people you could ever meet. Their home was a place filled with love, warmth, and memories, shared with their two beloved dogs, who thankfully escaped the fire with them. While we are incredibly grateful for their safety, the loss of their home and everything they owned has been a devastating blow.

Adding to this challenge, most of our family, including myself, live in different states. I’m in Virginia, and the distance has made it incredibly difficult for us to provide the hands-on help they need right now. We all want to do everything we can to support Cecilia and Exequiel, but being so far away has been one of the hardest parts of this situation.

That’s why I’ve started this GoFundMe campaign — to bring together the support and kindness of friends, family, and generous strangers to help Cecilia and Exequiel during this difficult time. Mi nombre es Vanessa, y estoy escribiendo para pedirles ayuda para mi hermana Cecilia y su esposo, Exequiel, quienes han sufrido una pérdida devastadora. Los recientes incendios forestales en Altadena destruyeron por completo su hogar, dejándolos solo con la ropa que llevaban puesta.
