Help Us Rebuild Hope! Saint Brighid’s: River Arts District

Hi everyone, this is Keith and Halle from Saint Brighid’s. On September 27th, we lost our small business in Asheville’s River Arts District to Hurricane Helene. Our building was completely decimated, along with so many of our wonderful neighbors including DayTrip, Plēb Urban Winery, 12 Bones, RosaBees, Summit Coffee, Wedge Brewing, and all of the incredible artists who called the Marquee our home.

We ask for your help, as we begin the long and difficult process towards picking up the pieces of our lives. We are forever changed, as people and community, by this unimaginable tragedy. Any amount you are able to donate will make a difference.

We are seeking to raise money to rebuild our business, support our team, and help our community survive in any way possible. We have already been doing all that we can to provide hot meals, drinking water, and supplies to those in need. We have been going door to door, dropping off supplies to Manna Food Bank stations, and helping restock any free supply stands we see, all over Asheville.

We are exhausted, like so many others, from simply trying to survive as the historic flooding of the French Broad River destroyed everything in its path. Just finding enough clean drinking water, for our neighbors and our pets, has been a main focus from the moment we wake up. It is hard to function under these conditions, but we continue to do our best to serve our community. We are proud of what we are doing here, even with the limited resources we have.

If you were one of the lucky ones who got the chance to visit our magical location in Foundy, you know what a truly special thing we all had, together, inside the Marquee building. Many of us have spent years and even decades building an inclusive place for our community to gather and thrive in the River Arts District. Today, we all morn our unfathomable losses, together.

Please, help us stand back up so that we may begin to rebuild our lives and create another haven for you, once again. We love you all and will see you on the other side of this unimaginable tragedy.
