Rebuilding Hope for the Cook Family: Lahaina Fire

My Name is Rielly Brooks sister to Kelsi and James Cook here to ask for your contribution to help rebuild their life after they tragically lost their home, belongings, and essentials to the Lahaina wildfire on August 8th, 2023.

My sister Kelsi and her husband James are now facing the aftermath of a devastating wildfire that consumed their hometown Lahaina, Hawaii. With their precious memories reduced to ashes, they need our help to rebuild their lives and create a safe haven for their young children – Marlowe, a spirited 3-year-old, and little Dawson, who is only 3 weeks old.

On August 8th, 2023, the Cook family's world was turned upside down as the Lahaina wildfire mercilessly destroyed their home, along with their cherished possessions and memories. With their young family's safety as the top priority, they evacuated their home with nothing but essentials to last them the night. The flames took away their sense of security and stability, leaving them to face an uncertain future. As their support system, we can't erase their pain, but we can join forces to provide them with the support and resources they need to rebuild their lives.

Kelsi and James have been a rock for many in their lives. James has spent 19 years calling Lahaina his home and Kelsi has been there for 12 years, consistently hosting friends and family at their beautiful residence for vacations, holidays, birthday parties, and more. Marlowe, their indescribably amazing 3-year-old, has brought joy to our lives with her boundless energy and infectious laughter. And now, with the recent addition of baby Dawson, born just 3 weeks before the fire, the Cooks need our help more than ever.

The entire town of Lahaina is now gone, destroying their workplaces, daycare, grocery stores, and restaurants. Kelsi and James will be forced to make many difficult decisions as they move off the island to begin rebuilding their life. But, with your contribution, they will have the ability to move forward financially.
