Supporting the Youngblood Family in Their Time of Need
The Youngblood family is reaching out to the community during an unprecedented time of hardship. Our lives were upended by the devastating Eaton Canyon fires in Altadena, California.

This tragedy ravaged our home which my parents purchased over 30 years ago, leaving the family without access to essential items, sentimental possessions, and stability. For over 50 years, we have proudly called the Altadena area home, and now we find ourselves turning to neighbors and friends that we have long cherished for help.

Willie Youngblood Jr. a pilar of the Altadena/Pasadena community, has been especially impacted. Willie was a star football athlete at John Muir High School and a graduate of Bacone College in Oklahoma. Although Willie had a promising future in law enforcement, he returned home to Altadena to care for his mother who had fallen sick. Willie's life took a drastic turn after suffering a life-threatening injury due to senseless gun violence that left him paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair. Despite his dedication and determination to adapt, the fire has destroyed the medical equipment and supplies he needs for daily living and rehabilitation.

The Youngblood family has also faced several devastating losses of immediate family members, particularly the recent of loss our mother, Vickie Youngblood. This recent heartbreak has compounded the emotional and physical toll on the family, particularly on Willie Jr., who must now face his ongoing challenges without his mother’s loving support. We are also in need of support for our elderly father, Willie Sr., as he copes with the physical and emotional strain of these circumstances. Willie Sr. has been there to support his son despite his own serious medical issues and recent loss of his beloved wife of more the fifty years.

We are humbly asking for assistance to meet our most urgent needs. Willie Jr. requires essential medical supplies, including incontinence care and therapy equipment, to continue his rehabilitation journey. Additionally, rental property is urgently needed to accommodate his healthcare needs while we rebuild our lives

Your generosity can make a significant difference in our ability to recover and rebuild. By extending a helping hand, you provide not only practical assistance but also hope and encouragement to our family in this incredibly challenging time.

Thank you for considering our plea and for standing by the Youngblood family when we need it most.

From the bottom of our hearts.
