Help Our Riverside Drive Neighbors Rebuild After the Flood
Dear Friends,
Our tight-knit community on Riverside Drive in Charlotte, NC, was devastated by the recent hurricane that caused severe flooding when the nearby dams were forced to release water. In just a few hours, our homes were submerged, and many of us lost everything we hold dear.
The destruction is overwhelming. Many of our neighbors are now without homes, while others face extensive damage that will take months, if not years, to recover from. Families who have called this community home for decades are now facing the reality of starting over from scratch. For those with flood insurance, it barely begins to cover the cost of rebuilding. For others, the financial toll is unimaginable.
But our community has always been one of resilience and compassion. We look out for each other, and now, more than ever, we need help. We are raising funds to assist our neighbors with immediate needs such as temporary housing, food, clothing, and basic essentials, as well as long-term recovery efforts to repair homes and rebuild our community.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will go a long way toward helping us rebuild our lives and return Riverside Drive to the vibrant, loving community we all know and cherish.
Thank you for your support, love, and generosity during this incredibly difficult time. Together, we will overcome this tragedy and come back stronger.
With heartfelt thanks,
Taryn James
