About Atfaluna:
Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children is a registered Palestinian NGO based in Gaza City. Since 1992, they have been dedicated to serving individuals with hearing disabilities through education and a variety of supportive services. Each year, thousands of deaf children, adults, and their families benefit from their programs, which include:
• Education for persons with hearing disabilities
• Audiology and speech therapy
• Income-generating initiatives for the deaf through crafts
• Vocational training
• Training and awareness programs for parents, teachers, and the community
Before the recent conflict, they employed 134 permanent staff members, 55% of whom are deaf. Their mission is to foster an inclusive environment where persons with disabilities can thrive without limitations.

Atfaluna, along with its network of artisans and producers, has faced severe devastation due to the recent war in Gaza. Despite these challenges, their resilience shines through as they rise from the ashes. Your support can empower 50 artisans to restore their livelihoods and preserve their cultural heritage through their craft.
Creative Learning is a Washington DC based non-profit organization. Through its Aid to Artisans, we create economic opportunities artisan businesses around the world through capacity building, product development and design, and market assess. We are launching this crowdfunding campaign to support these artisan families and help restore hope for Atfaluna. We are committed to this cause because we believe in the power of craftsmanship to transform lives and communities. By supporting our partner Atfaluna, we aim to provide a lifeline to 50 artisans family living in Rafah, Gaza who rely on their craft for income, dignity, and a sense of purpose.
During the conflict, Atfaluna’s premises in Gaza City were destroyed, their staff and artisans had to relocate to Rafah. With the support of United Nations Development Program (UNDP), they have managed to restore operations, source scarce raw materials, and continue producing crafts under dire circumstances. This campaign seeks to sustain their model of resilience, restoring hope, faith, and cultural heritage.

With a gift of $40, you can sustain an artisan's work for one day, covering all production costs and providing essential income for their household while preserving cultural heritage. A donation of $800 secures an artisan's work for a full month, offering stability and economic empowerment.
All products created during the war will be stored for future marketing in an exhibition when conditions permit. Proceeds from selling these products will benefit Atfaluna, helping them rebuild destroyed facilities and support artisans' livelihoods, showcasing the transformative impact of your solidarity and support.

All funds raised will be distributed as a monthly income to these 50 Atfaluna artisans. This financial support is for a humanitarian cause. It will enable them to meet their basic needs and ensure the survival of their children. By providing a stable source of income, we can help these artisans maintain their livelihoods, continue their craft, and sustain their cultural traditions even in the face of adversity. Funds will first be collected by us Creative Learning. Then at the end of the campaign, we will transfer the funds to Atfaluna's bank account.
