Rebuilding Lives After the Fire

Donation protected
Hello, My name is Chris Brown, I am the Vice President of PMI Property Management, we are
based in Rancho Cordova, California. We are collaborating with Good Life Construction in
North Highlands, to assist victims of the A Street Fire in North Highlands by raising $100,000 to
support their recovery and healing. 100% of funds raised will go to victims of the fire. Both PMI
Property Management and Good Life, share the same community values and are Faith Based
Organizations.
Many residents barely made it out of this fire alive, with only the clothes on their backs, it took
85 fire fighters to put out the fire that burned down two apartment buildings. It’s truly a
miracle that the only life lost in this fire, was a dog, all resident’s survived this traumatic
experience. Only one resident, was hospitalized long term at a local hospital in the burn unit.
She is expected to be released this week. Victims of the fire survived this traumatic experience,
but now another chapter is beginning, picking up the pieces and helping them rebuild their lives
with getting them back into stable housing of their own. Your generous support is contributing
to a community based solution that will impact 40 lives that were destroyed by the A Street
Fire.
40 residents were displaced as a result of this fire, many could not afford renters insurance, for
some this apartment was their way out of domestic violence, trafficking, their second chance
after overcoming homelessness, some are navigating disabilities, cancer, single mothers raising
children alone working full time and even a few community members who work in social
services. Some families had only lived in apartment for a few months, they are young families
starting out with newborns. The children impacted by this fire range from ages 4 month to 10
years old. For many of them, they need the assistance of donors in our community with getting
back on their feet, donors with a heart this Holiday Season to spread hope to the A Street Fire
Victims.
When Good Life / PMI stepped in to support the A Street Fire Victims, we quickly learned a
family had been sleeping in a car, with a newborn and toddler. The residents prioritized, this
family going into an apartment first. We stepped in with paying hotel costs and on Friday, this
family got the keys to their apartment complete with furniture, thanks to our generous
sponsors. We need your help in making a difference for more families and vulnerable
community members in need.
100% of the Proceeds raised from this Go Fund Me Page, will go to A Street Fire Victims, funds
raised will go to hotel assistance, deposits, rent for their new places, furnishings and anything
additional raised will go directly into the hands of the victims of this fire, to assist them in
restarting their lives.

The only way we are going to reach this goal, is by the support of generous donors. Out of the
20 households displaced by this fire, only 3 households are in housing, we need support with
getting the other 17 households into their apartments this Holiday Season. 100% of funds will
be going to A Street Fire Victims.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for supporting the A Street Fire Victims and
supporting their healing and recovery.
"Honestly, I've lost everything. Everything. I've been on my own since I was 12. So now, everything I got to work for all over again,” Figueroa said. “We have no clothes. We have nothing. We have no money. We got lucky to have a car. I mean, and we got lucky to save our lives.
