Rebuilding Lives: Support Adam & Caiti
Donation protected
Adam and Caiti Ross have lost their beautiful mid-century Altadena home and art studio to the Eaton Canyon fire in Altadena, CA. Plus, the bungalow below theirs that they were renting to an ArtCenter College student is burned down. Adam has been a teacher at ArtCenter College of Design for many years and Caiti is a teacher at Immaculate Heart Middle School. These two school teachers have always been there for their community and students - renting out their bungalows on the property to college students year after year.
They worked hard to make their historic home a beautiful place, with an amazing succulent and bamboo garden that Adam lovingly cared for and watered everyday. They had a home studio, but everything burned except for 9 paintings Adam was able to pull from the flames. Years of their won artwork lost. Decades of art they collected from others lost.
Adam and Caiti stayed with their home as it burned fighting hard to save the two surviving bungalows that other ArtCenter students and Allumni live in. The whole property was set to burn down but luckily the they were able to have firefighters come and save the last two surviving bungalows. I live in the first bungalow house in our row (a farm house from 1916). I would have lost everything I have if it were not for Adam and Caiti’s persistent effort and fighting spirit.
I am a former student of Adam. He was my color theory teacher at ArtCenter and a teacher to so many others. Caiti and him have always been there for me and so many others with a helping hand. Now I want to help him with this fund. Thank you for helping them out. ❤️
The money raised will be used by Adam and Caiti to help sustain them while they are rebuilding their home. This fund is organized by Lili Todd - a friend, former student, and tenant of Adam and Caiti.
