Rebuilding Memories: Homes in Memoriam

My name is Ashley, and on January 8th, my family lost their home in the Palisades fire. I found myself feeling called to do something. Out of that mixture of grief and helplessness came Homes in Memoriam. I started this project as a way to give families who have lost their homes something to hold on to.

As I write this, over 10,000 structures have been lost. Many of these were homes - places children were raised, love flourished, futures were dreamt. The goal of Homes in Memoriam is to recruit artists from far and wide willing to create portraits of the homes lost to give families like mine a piece of the place they held so dearly.

While the artists are volunteering their time and materials, this project still comes with costs. I am raising funds to pay for the cost of shipping the art as well as framing the pieces. Anything helps.
