Rebuild Alexander&Stiell Family Homes after Hurricane Beryl

Donation protected

Hello everyone,

I'm Madison, and together with my dear friend Shenizah, we're reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for support. Our lives were forever changed on 1st, July 2024, by Hurricane Beryl, a catastrophic category 4 Hurricane, that swept through the Caribbean and our beloved island of Carriacou (of Grenada) leaving unimaginable destruction in its wake. This powerful storm decimated 97% of our community, displacing thousands of families and shattering homes beyond recognition. As medical students from St. George's University, currently completing our clinical training in New York, we feel a profound responsibility to help our families and to help the community rebuild and recover.

The devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl is difficult to comprehend unless you have witnessed it firsthand. Entire neighborhoods have been reduced to rubble, with families left homeless and without necessities. The road to recovery is long and arduous. Many of our friends, neighbors, and loved ones have lost everything they have worked for.

Our mission is clear: to raise funds to rebuild the Alexander and Stiell family homes and the homes for those who have lost everything. Your donation, no matter the amount, will make a tangible difference in the lives of our fellow Carriacouans. It will provide the essential resources needed to reconstruct homes, repair infrastructure, and restore a sense of normalcy to our community.

As medical students, we understand the profound impact that living conditions have on health and well-being. By supporting our fundraising efforts, you are not just rebuilding houses; you are rebuilding futures. You are offering a lifeline to those who have lost everything and showing them that they are not alone in their struggle.

Every dollar donated will go directly toward our rebuilding efforts. We are committed to ensuring transparency and accountability in how funds are used. Your support will be instrumental in our mission to bring hope and renewal to Carriacou, one brick at a time.

We recognize that times are tough for everyone, and any amount you can give will be deeply appreciated. Every penny counts towards our shared goal of rebuilding Carriacou stronger and more resilient than ever before. Your generosity will resonate throughout our community, inspiring others to join in our efforts and demonstrating the power of compassion and solidarity.

Together, we can rebuild homes and restore hope. Together, we can show the world the strength and unity of the Carriacouan spirit. Please consider donating today and participating in our recovery and renewal journey. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and unwavering support.

Please note: My name is Madison Alexander, and I am the creator of this GoFundMe campaign. The beneficiary listed is my sister Peterlyn Alexander who will withdraw the funds on our behalf. Your contributions will be wire transferred to our families (Alexander and Stiell) in Carriacou, Grenada for building supplies and relief items after suffering through Hurricane Beryl. Building supplies include roofing raw materials and machinery. Relief items including household utensils, mosquito nets etc.

Warm regards,

Madison Alexander & Shenizah Stiell
