Rebuilding our life together after losing everything in Gaza

They are a young couple who worked hard for everything that they had in life, only to see it all destroyed since October.

Greetings,

My name is Abdullah Al-Omrani, a 25-year-old from Gaza. Alongside me is my wife, Nour, who is 21 years old. We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and a plea for support.

Despite facing immense financial challenges and debts, I pursued my dream of running a small supermarket after studying accounting. It took four years of relentless dedication, but I was on the brink of success when the war shattered everything.

During this time, Noor completed her bachelor’s degree in multimedia with flying colors and secured a job in information technology.

But the war stripped us of everything. We lost our belongings, our home was damaged, and Noor suffered a miscarriage due to the trauma. Now, as displaced individuals in Deir al-Balah, life has become an uphill battle. We are living in a tent, struggling to make ends meet. We've exhausted our funds, and our dreams are fading amidst the chaos.

In addition to our dream of evacuating from Gaza to Egypt to rebuild our lives, we are currently in urgent need of support to meet our basic living needs during this war. Having lost our source of income over a year ago, we now rely heavily on donations to survive. Your contributions will help us purchase food, water, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and essential items for our tent, such as clothes and blankets. Prices have skyrocketed, making everything many times more expensive than before. Your support can make a real difference in helping us survive these difficult times.

We plan to evacuate as soon as the border crossings are reopened. Our campaign goal has been adjusted to €25,000 to cover both the costs of evacuation and our essential living needs during this war. The additional funds will be used to secure basic necessities such as food, water, and shelter for the coming months, as we face skyrocketing prices and an uncertain future.

Once in Egypt, Nour will continue her work remotely, and I will seek job opportunities in cloud accounting, enabling us to sustain ourselves. However, we require financial support for travel expenses, passports, initial living costs, and replacing essential equipment lost in Gaza.

Our campaign aims to raise €25,000, covering travel fees, living expenses, and purchasing laptops for work, as follows:

Travel fees for me and my wife: €9,350

Amount to cover travel costs, issuing passports, and living expenses upon arrival in Egypt for the first 3 months: €2,800

Buying two laptops to replace those we lost in Gaza, allowing us to begin earning a wage as quickly as possible (€655 per laptop * 2 = €1,310)

The remaining amount will be used to cover our essential living expenses during this difficult period: €11,540
