Rebuilding Our Lives: A Journey from Loss to Hope
Donation protected
Hello world, this is Nieama Al-Ghazzawi, and in the photo above are my husband Mahmoud, along with my two beautiful kids Salma 6Years and Aladdin 3 Years old.
Our home and workplace in Gaza have been completely destroyed. With the assistance of the U.S. Embassy, my children and I managed to leave Gaza, but my husband still stuck there. Our journey to safety is hindered by the escalating costs of visas, airfare, and the daily increasing fees for departing through the Rafah Crossing. Leaving Mahmoud behind is an unthinkable choice, but financial barriers loom large.
I can't leave my husband in a war zone and proceed alone. I want to help bring my husband with us and reunite our family.
The required costs will cover:
1. Leaving Gaza through the Rafah Crossing: $10,000 for coordination fees, knowing that this amount increases each day.
2. Visa costs: $1,605 for visa fees for my husband and children ($535 per person).
3. Flight costs: Approximately $5,000.
In addition to other daily expenses and an amount that could help us start a new life, we are heading towards an uncertain future.
Everything that is happening feels like a nightmare that we hope to wake up from. We never imagined in our worst dreams that we would lose everything we've built throughout our lives.
Your assistance means a lot to us. It will bring us back together and allow us to start a new life with confidence and hope. We appreciate every bit of support you provide. Thank you.
This is what's left of our home
