Rebuilding Pain Beurre: A micro bakery staple of Altadena

Simply Bread is helping to raise money for Pain Beurre , a French micro bakery in Altadena, California that had recently opened and was destroyed in the fires affecting LA County. Chef Guillaume Patard Legendre and his family invested everything they had into the bakery, and had opened in July of 2024.

After only 6 months of serving the community, both their bakery and family house were tragically destroyed by wildfire, leaving the legendre family with no home and no business.

When the time comes, Simply Bread will be replacing the oven lost to the fire, and this fund will go towards any additional costs that the legendre family incurs in the process of rebuilding their bakery. We encourage you to give generously so that Pain Beurre can be rebuilt and continue to provide joy and nourishment to the community of Altadena.
