Rebuilding Union Island: One Home at a Time
Donation protected
Where do I start? How does one condense losing a lifetime in a space of 4 hours due to a hurricane? I am from Union Island, the southernmost island in the grenadines of St. Vincent in the Eastern Caribbean. On July 1st, Hurricane Beryl swept through those little islands. She took with her lives, livelihoods, hope for the future and symbols of the past. My aging parents, a pastor and preschool teacher, no longer have a home to live out the rest of their days. They would have given their lives to build a community on the island. Some people are gone. Only a handful of houses remain. Help us restore hope, one home at time for a community that has lost too much.
