Help Jack Rebuild - Lahaina Maui Fire Relief Fund

We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts and a plea for support regarding the devastating fires of August 8th, that wreaked havoc in the town of Lahaina on Maui, Hawaii, destroying hundreds of lives & homes. Unfortunately, this is the heartbreaking story of our beloved friend, Jack Machesic, a 25-year-old recent college graduate, who experienced a complete loss due to these wildfires, leaving Jack with nothing as his entire home, and all of his belongings, were reduced to ashes.

Upon graduating from the University of Florida, Jack took a leap of faith and packed up his life & everything he’s ever known to move across the country, from Key Largo, Florida to Lahaina, Maui, with dreams of building a new life and career in paradise. Jack's passion for golf, as well as his Bachelors of Science in Horticulture, led him to secure a job as a greenskeeper at the prestigious Kapalua Golf Bay & Plantation Courses. He poured his heart and soul into his work, nurturing the lush greens that have become a symbol of beauty and tranquility on the island. Jack's dedication and hard work were evident to all who knew him, and he quickly became an integral part of the golf course community. However, tragedy struck when the wildfires ravaged the island. The life Jack had worked tirelessly to build over the past two years was suddenly gone, leaving him devastated and uncertain about the future.

We cannot fathom the pain and loss Jack is experiencing right now. As he tries to pick up the pieces and rebuild his life, we have an opportunity to come together and make a difference. Our goal is to raise funds to help Jack get back on his feet, providing him with the support he needs to start anew. The funds raised will go towards securing temporary housing, replacing essential items such as clothing, furniture, and kitchenware, and assisting with any immediate financial burdens he may face. Additionally, we hope to help Jack find stability by aiding him in securing a new place to call home and supporting him during any necessary leaves of absence he may need from his job during these unprecedented times. All funds raised over the amount needed to cover the above expenses will be donated to other neighbors & residents in need until we have helped as many fire disaster victims as possible. 

Jack's resilience and determination have always been his defining qualities. He has faced adversity before and has always come out stronger. Now, more than ever, he needs our support to rebuild his dreams and regain the life he had worked so hard to create. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant impact on Jack's journey towards recovery.
