Mt Pleasant Church Restoration Fund
Donation protected
On Monday 17th July 2017, a fire in Harare, Zimbabwe, raged out of control and destroyed our sanctuary - Mount Pleasant Seventh Day Adventist Church . Despite the combined efforts of locals and fire fighters, both the main sanctuary and children's chapel were completely engulfed and destroyed by the flames.
While thankfully, no lives were lost, our church members and local community are understandably crestfallen, after having saved for years to construct the buildings. We have lost our house of worship, meeting place and children's hub.

The difficulties involved in the overwhelming task of starting from scratch are unimaginable. It is for this reason we, as members of Mount Pleasant SDA church, would like you to partner with us in rebuilding our church. This includes, but is not limited to, restoring the following:
1. Main church building
2. Children’s chapel
3. PA Systems and related equipment
4. Music Instruments
5. Pews, chairs and other furniture
6. Holy Communion utensils
7. Catering equipment (e.g. plates, cutlery etc.) which were used for community service
In addition, and more urgently, the church will need to buy a tent, chairs and PA system for immediate use so that we can resume worship services within the church grounds while the work of restoration is going on.
Funds collected will be sent by Telegraphic Transfer from the UK account to our church account with Stanbic Bank, Zimbabwe.
We ask you to please open your hearts and assist with any amount that will help us restore our sanctuary.
God bless you all.
