HPPOA President Hoffman and VP Finley Recall Petitions

Aloha,
My name is Crystal Schiszler. I was born and raised in Puna on the Big Island and work as a Therapist for children and families in my community. I'm raising funds for the printing and mailing costs of Recall petitions for HPPOA president Karin Hoffman and VP Jeffrey Finley. HPP Owners in districts 5 and 9 are currently supporting the Recall petitions for directors Karin Hoffman and Jeffrey Finley. According to HPPOA bylaws under State statutes 414D, the recall process can be initiated with 200 signatures from owners in the directors district. This will then initiate a ballot mail out for a recall election for that district. This fundraiser is to cover the costs of printing and postage for a mail out of approximately 2,000 petitions to owners in districts 5 and 9.
HPPOA and directors Karin Hoffman and Jeffrey Finley are currently involved in 2 lawsuits and 1 arbitration. The first lawsuit is related to their violation of the deed restrictions on the HPPOA parcels for the mailbox projects. The initial lawsuit was filed by an owner to enforce the deed restrictions on the parcels. The Watumull Investment Company recently responded to a complaint filed against them by directors Karin Hoffman and Jeffrey Finley as a 3rd party lawsuit. The Watumull Investment Company are also requesting that their attorney fees be awarded. How will these legal costs be paid for?
The second lawsuit was filed in the Federal Court of Hawaii under the Fair Housing Laws for the discrimination against hard of hearing. These lawsuits will continue to cost owners additional road monies which will only continue to negatively affect the safety and quality of the roads in HPP.
Directors Karin Hoffman and Jeffrey Finley are also in violation of the Acts of the Association by not allowing the Forensic Analysis to be completed that members voted for twice. If you disagree with these issues please consider contributing to the Recall petitions to send a strong message to your HPPOA board that shows that the Membership holds them accountable.
