Recall Trabuco Canyon Water District Rate Hikers!

We are a group of your neighbors in Trabuco Canyon working to recall three of the five water board members who voted to double or triple our monthly water bills this year and drive them up to an average $280 by July 2027! At a standing-room-only public hearing on June 29, these board members ignored the pleas of the people they were elected to represent and approved the huge rate increases . We now seek to hold them accountable through the recall process, removing them from office by a vote of the people unless they restore affordable water rates.

We have taken the first step by collecting signatures on three "notices of intention to circulate a recall petition." The next step is to serve the three board members the notices, and then publish them in the newspaper, as required by California law. The newspaper charges $1,649 to publish each of the three notices. We have now raised the funds necessary to pay for the newspaper publication, so that we can proceed to serve the board members and begin to collect recall petition signatures.
