Hello, old Merlin passed away yesterday Thursday 07/07/2022.

Malcolm John Hampshire, better known at point of Ary colliery as Mally Hampshire

I have decided to collect money to be able to cremate his body.

There are 2 reasons that lead me to this action;

1.- That his body does not end up in a mass grave.

2-He wanted to be free in nature. What better gift for his return home than to spread his ashes in nature.

I don't know what else to say, I have a lump in my throat. We all know that no one is perfect, but Merlin within his imperfection did a lot of good for many people. He knew how to listen and listened to the pain of many people. Since there are many of us who went to talk to him, and we told him our problems. And he always offered us a positive solution with a musical meeting time.

For those of you who did not know him, Merlin was a special and unusual being. Born in the United Kingdom and having worked as a miner one day he decides to disappear from the established system and comes to Spain where he lived in a palm grove facing the sea in a tent. Little by little, he expanded the place until he even created an underground library. Merlin was a meditator and a musician and singer. He had nothing but his guitar and he lived off the will of the people knocking at the door of the Punta Prima Carrefour. His unmistakable "hippie style" appearance with his long white beard and his friendliness inspired confidence. He had nothing and he didn't ask, but we all deserve a worthy farewell.

I wish to say a last goodbye in dignity to your person.

Hola , el viejo Merlin ha fallecido ayer Jueves 07/07/2022.

he decidido hacer una recolecta de dinero para poder incinerar su cuerpo .

Son 2 los motivos que me llevan a ésta acción ;

1.- Que su cuerpo no termine en una fosa común.

2,-El queria ser libre en la naturaleza. Que mejor regalo para su vuelta a casa que esparcer sus cenizas en la naturaleza.

No sé qué más decir , tengo un nudo en la garganta. Todos sabemos que nadie es perfrecto, mas Merlín dentro de su imperfección hizo mucho bien a mucha gente. El sabía escuchar y escuchó el dolor de mucha gente. Ya que somos muchos los que íbamos a hablar con él, y le contábamos nuestros problemas . Y él siempre nos ofrecía una solución positiva con un rato de encuentro musical.

Para los que no le conocíais Merlín era un ser especial y fuera de lo común . Nacido en Reino Unido y habiendo trabajado de minero un día decide desaparecer del sistema establecido y viene a España donde estuvo viviendo en un palmeral frente al mar en una tienda de campaña . Poco a poco fue ampliando el lugar hasta incluso llegar a crear una biblioteca underground. Merlín era un meditador y un músico y cantante . No tenía nada más que su guitarra y vivía de la voluntad de la gente tocando en la puerta del Carrefour de punta prima . Su inconfundible aspecto " estilo hippie" con su larga barba blanca y su simpatía inspiraban confianza . No tenía nada y no pedía , más todos merecemos una despedida digna.

Deseo darle un último adiós en dignidad a su persona.
