Recaudación para Workshop con el cineasta Iraní Rouzbeh Rash

Hello, my name is Ana. I am a filmmaker and two years ago I fell ill with an auntoimmune condition that meant I could no longer work or earn any kind of income and had to stay in bed most of the time. My savings at that time were spent on medical specialists and medications and still can't find an accurate diagnosis. With time and dedication I have been improving to the point of being able to walk again little by little and start doing more and more things. With the unconditional support of my family and friends I have regained mobility. I would like to share with you a little bit about my professional career before the disease. I studied Modern Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature of the UNAM. At the same time I studied a diploma in screenwriting at the International Center of Scriptwriting for Film and Television CIGCITE, which at that time was an extension of the academy of scriptwriting of the national film school of Cuba in San Antonio de los Baños, later I was accepted at the University Center for Film Studies where I specialized in film directing and direct sound. Professionally I began to dedicate myself to direct sound for many years in films and documentaries with social and political themes in Mexico and directed my own short films with my own means, the last one I managed to direct was in the Amazonian community of Iquitos in Peru. I have collaborated as a sound director in Oscar nominated and Golden Bear at Berlinale winning film productions. Such as Roma by Alfonso Cuarón, Tótem by Lila Aviles and Los tiempos de Hector by Ariel Gutierrez, nominated at the oficial selection for best shortfilm at Cannes Festival, among others.

I have also participated as a jury member at the International Community and Indigenous Film Festival of Huancayo, Peru and I have given conferences on Gender Equality in sound design and film crew training at the National University of the Arts in Ecuador. I also belonged to the feminist film collective Diverses Audiovisuales in Córdoba, Argentina. My collaborative experimental film works have been shown in different venues such as the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Carrillo Gil in CDMX, the Blue Star Art Complex in San Antonio Texas and the Casa de Refugio Citlatepetl. Unfortunately, my impetus for filming deteriorated due to illness and the psychological and economic processes that I suddenly had to face. Next September 9, Iranian filmmaker Rouzbeh Rashidi will give a workshop on expanded cinema, which is the cinematographic movement I have always felt the closest to and I feel that this would be the push I need so much to return to my creative and emotional production. I would be grateful with all my soul if you could help me to collect the registration fees. It would mean for me to return to the person I was after two years in the process of recovery, losing almost all contact with art and that now with my move to Germany my liquidity is a little more limited. Hola, me llamo Ana. Soy cineasta y hace dos años caí enferma de una condición auntoinmune que provocó que no puediera trabajar más ni obtener algún tipo de ingreso y tuve que permanecer en cama la mayoría del tiempo. Mis ahorros en ese momento se fueron en médicos especialistas y medicamentos y aún no encuentran un diagnóstico certero. Con el tiempo y dedicación he ido mejorando hasta el punto de poder caminar de nuevo poco a poco hacer más cosas. Con el apoyo incondicional de mi familia y amigos he recuperado la movilidad. Les quiero compartir sobre mi carrera profesional antes de la enfermedad. Estudié la carrera de Lengua y Literaturas Modernas en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la UNAM. Al mismo tiempo cursé el diplomado de guiniosmo en el Centro Internacional de Guionista para Cine y Televisión CIGCITE que en esa época era una extensión de la academia de guionista de la escuela nacional de cine de Cuba de San Antonio de los Baños, posteriormente fui aceptada en el Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos en donde me especialicé en dirección cinematográfica y sonido directo. Profesionalmente me empecé a dedicar al sonido directo por muchos años en películas y documentales con temas sociales y políticos en México y dirigía mis propios cortometrajes con mis propios medios, el último que logré dirigir fue en la comunidad amazónica de Iquitos en Perú. He colaborado como sonidista en varias producciones cinematográficas nominadas al Óscar y ganadoras del Oso de oro de Berlín como Tótem de Lila Aviles, Roma de Alfonso Cuarón y Los tiempos de Hector de Ariel Gutierrez seleccionado oficial en competencia a mejor cortometraje en el Festival de Cannes . También he participado como jurado del Festival Internacional del Cine Comunitario e Indígena de Huancayo Perú y he ofrecido conferencias sobre Equidad de Género en la realización de diseños sonoro y formación de equipos cinematográficos en la Universidad Nacional de las Artes en Ecuador. También pertenecí al colectivo de cine feminista Diverses Audiovisuales en Córdoba, Argentina. Mis trabajos colaborativos de cine experimental se han mostrado en diferentes recintos como el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Carrillo Gil en CDMX, en el Blue Star Art Complex en San Antonio Texas y la Casa de Refugio Citlatepetl. Desafortunadamente mi ímpetu por filmar se vio muy deteriorado debido a la enfermedad y los procesos psicológicos y económicos que súbitamente tuve que enfrentar. El próximo 9 de septiembre el cineasta Iraní Rouzbeh Rashidi dará un curso sobre el cine expandido que el el movimiento cinematográfico al que siempre me he sentido más cercana y siento que eso sería el empujón que tanto necesito para regresar a mi producción creativa y emocional. Les agradecería con mi alma si pudieran ayudarme a reunir los costos de inscripción. Ya que significaría para mi volver a ser la persona que era después de estar dos años en proceso de recuperación perder todo elcontacto con el arte y que ahora con mi mudanza a Alemania se limita un poco más mi liquidez. De ante mano les agradezco con todo mi corazón.
