Heart transplant needed to survive

Hi, my name is Lawanda. I am fundraising to help my brother William Anderson. He, currently has the Lvad heart pump and is to the point in which this device can stop working at anytime. If this happens he will die. The lvad system lasts from 3-4 years on average and his system has been in place for almost 5 years. The heart team can not replace this device, it is a one time only medical procedure. Currently this device is the only thing keeping him alive. He has been medically cleared to be placed on the heart transplant list but there is several things he needs. One of those is the ability to stay 6 weeks after his transplant near the hospital that is in Lexington Ky so he can receive treatment that he needs. His insurance will not cover this portion. Therefore, we need to come up with the amount to cover his housing and transportation during this 6 week time period. He needs this heart transplant in order to survive.
