I am looking to raise money as a last ditch effort to keep my car from being repoed during these trouble times. In August of 2019, I almost succumbed to a saddle clot (blood clot in my lungs). But luckily was saved. However, because of this week long hospital visit, I lost income. I was no longer able to bring in money from my second source of income. The blood thinners prevented me from giving plasma. Because of medical bills and credit cards I had (used for a failed business venture, and funeral expenses for my father), I had to declare bankruptcy when my wages got garnished right before Christmas and even all of January (after I had filed). That money was supposed to go to my car payments and was told by my lawyer that all the money that was garnished would be returned. Well it did get returned, but it took over two months before getting back to my bank account. Which at the time I got all of it back was 2 days after my normal scheduled car payment was due. This caused my account to get turned over and I was put on the repo list. I had called and had worked out a plan to pay some of my car payments (having borrowed money from a friend) to take me off the repo list. I had also picked up a second job at the end of February for the sole purpose of catching up on my car payments and for some house improvements. Now however, because of the impact of the Corona Virus were I live, I have lost my income from my primary job as a Scoring Director with Pearson, because if schools are not in session, than there are no tests to score. Also, my second job has reduced hours. Working at Barnes and Noble in a mall. All of this was very sudden. Why it's important to me. I spent a great deal of time getting the vehicle that is pictured. A red 2018 Honda Civic Type R, badge 13569. I had a deposit down at my local dealership 5 months before the release date and had to wait almost a year for a red one to make it to the dealership. I can't tell you how much I love driving this car and how happy it makes me. I don't want to give it up because I have started gaining a small following of people who view my instagram content. This is for sure a wrong place (Iowa City) and wrong time kinda situation. Between, almost dying, finding out my mom has stage 4 colon cancer, bankruptcy and now loss of income, I would just like something to go my way. Honestly I don't expect this work, but if it fails, than I am no worse off. I would be grateful if it does. $1500 will get me out of repo. $2000 will get me completely caught up on payments.  If anything please give some money to my mom to help cover her medical bills.
