Reclamation Church Welch - Renovation Fund

Hi everyone, we are fundraising for the renovation and future launch of Reclamation Church in Welch, West Virginia.   

Purpose:
Reclamation Church is a nondenominational contemporary church and will open in what is lovingly known as “The Castle” (151 Virginia Ave., Welch) in the Spring of 2024, Lord willing, after renovations are complete.  This GoFundMe will serve as a funding repository for our start team to give to as well as any friends, family and partner churches while we finish incorporating as a 501c3.  The use of funds from this campaign is to cover costs such as soundproofing, flooring, paint supplies, signage, storage solutions, children’s class furniture, flat roof repairs, and helping with winter heating bills. (We are assuming none of the roof repairs are catastrophic but they will need addressed)

Partnership with Young Life:
The Castle has been the host location for Young Life and WyldLife and the county YL office for over a year.  As the building transitions into life as Reclamation Church we are excited to continue that no-cost partnership in order to provide a top-notch youth hangout for kids and caring adults in our community.  This matters a lot to us as a chuch!

Current status:
As of September 2023 we have updated most all of the downstairs area (two offices, hangout room, game room, small kitchen and storage) and we are ready to start renovating the upstairs. We’ve acquired 4000 ft.² of flooring which will be installed in October, as well as a lead on new lighting fixtures and high quality polyurethane for the hardwood floors.
