Recover from The Reed Group

I am a Disabled Veteran. We contracted in 2021 with someone we thought was a reputable builder in Nassau County, Florida, Chad Reed and The Reed Group Elite Home, LLC. We wanted him to build our Forever Home in Hilliard, FL, where we had purchased land. We sold our home of 20 years, thinking we would move into our next chapter. We were so excited and ready to have space and a quiet life. We ended up with a "home" that is 70% done, at best. Damage everywhere! We are almost $400,000 out of money. First Federal Bank (FFB) is threatening to foreclose on our Forever Home because they want ALL of their money. We asked FFB for help, after the SECOND draw request and they refused. We asked for help from FFB to refinance our home and they refused for months. Had they helped us sooner, we would be in our home and FFB would be out of our life.

Here we are in 2024 with no home and with no hope of finishing our Forever Home because the builder, who has now filed for bankruptcy AND placed a lien on our property has caused FFB to accelerate our VA Construction Loan and we can't get financing now. We have spent TENS of THOUSANDS of dollars to defend and fight for our home because of the games the crooked builder played. We are expecting more games with FFB and their attorneys. We want to use these funds to help us keep and finish our home.

So, we are STUCK. The crooked builder wants to steal our home, the bank wants to take our home, and the VA can't help, but we're hoping that honest Americans can help us!!!

We have legal fees and would love help paying off our mounting costs.
