Recovery and homecoming fund for Janine Leon

On Friday Dec 7, Janine Leon traveled from Los Angeles to Portland Oregon to celebrate her 23rd birthday. On the way back to the hotel that evening, the car she was a passenger in was broadsided on the side she was seated. As a result of the collision Janine suffered severe injuries and was kept in ICU with fractured cervical vertebrae, loss of feeling and movement in her limbs and a severe gash from her eyebrow to above her hairline.
The doctors said it was a miracle that she survived let alone suffer paralysis or other debilitating injury. As of today she has C1 fracture, swelling of the spine, a blood clot in her vertebral artery, and still lacks mobility in her right hand. The doctors are calling for a conservative rehab period of 6 months. As as of yet, there is no indication when she will be able to return to Los Angeles.
At this time her mother has taken a leave of a absence from her place of employment to travel to Portland to support Janine in the Hospital while Dad has stayed behind to care for Jsnine’s Two younger siblings.
There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding Janine’s physical and financial future, but what is certain is that She still has financial obligations that need to be met in Los Angeles, Her mom is missing work to be in Portland and there are numerous expenses when living on the road. They're not sure what kind of future travel expenses between LA and Portland will be incurred by her family during Janine's recovery and rehab, as well as any specialized transport required to get her home. There's no way to know this early on what kind of financial burden there will be once she gets home,
This fund was established to take care of Janine's bills while she's unable to work, replace mom's income while away, meet mom's travel needs, take care of any out of pocket medical or legal expenses and provide a cushion for Janine to get her through until she is able to get back on her feet.
