Donation protected
On 11/08/23 MR Sheffield a 2 yr old mini cob, was stolen from his secure stable in Sheffield. We have recovered him 13 months later. He is a broken boy, his family have suffered financially, emotionally, physically and need your help.
Heres his story/update

First and foremost, Stacey and Jamie and their children want to say a massive thank you to everyone... absolutely too many people to mention individually but you all know who you are. Stacey has been absolutely overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support.
Thank you to the entire Beautys Legacy

team, both of Jamie and Stacey's entire families, all their friends, and the whole nation, both friends and strangers...the entire nation. .who helped in every single way.
I was privileged to be with Stacey when she was reunited with her special boy early this morning.
We received an anonymous call a couple of nights ago with information on the whereabouts of Mr Sheffield.
They demanded the reward, and more, for his safe return.. They sent us proof and seeing the heartbreaking footage of their sad and distressed boy, It was a no brainer to pay it, and get their precious boy safe.
The family set about selling things and borrowing money to raise the amount needed and then Jamie made the painstakingly long journey to collect him and bring him home.
Mr Sheffield has been kept in dreadful conditions. He has lost a considerable amount of weight and is dehydrated and malnourished. His beautiful coat was clogged with his own s#!t and his tail, mane and forelock have been hacked short. His beautifullegs and feet are a mass of heavy painful dreadlocks where he has been stood in his own s#!t for 13 months He has barely seen daylight, his eyes are sore and he still has a winter coat.
He has sores on his nose, and bottom where he has been rubbing in a confined space. He still had the head collar on which is now far too small so it has left sores on his head behind his ears.
He also has a horrific urinary infection.
His hooves are in a disgusting state, and must be causing him huge discomfort.
He had fear in his eyes, and was subdued and forlorn, but as soon as he saw his mum he knew he was safe. Within a couple of hours his ears were up and he was whinnying. He's had a good bath, and will need some specialist vet care for his coat, his feet, his eyes and his sores.
He has had a home visit by the fabulous vets at Equine Veterinary Centre, Doncaster and has been administered wormer, tetanus, antibiotics, pain relief, sedative, and has been microchipped and passported. He may need to see a behaviourist further down the line, and will see a farrier tomorrow and start the healing process on his poor poor feet.
This has been one of the most barbaric and heartbreaking cases we have worked on, and the effect will be lifelong on this boy and his family, physically, emotionally and financially. As one nightmare has ended the next one begins..
But to see and hear the joy in their faces and voices is absolutely priceless. Just look at the joy on those kids' faces...
It broke me to see the state of that little man today but with love and devotion I am absolutely sure he will be back to his old self soon enough, and we will do everything we can to help make that happen.
The family have not only had to pay a fortune to get him back, they've had to relocate him and improve their security, and have now got the task of his long road to recovery, and theirs. Its a long road with continued fears, anguish and nightmares, but they have proved just how strong they all are.
We all send them all the love in the world and will help in any way we can.
God bless you little man, safe now
