Recovery and Support for Daniel
Donation protected
As many of you have heard, Daniel was in a very serious car accident involving an 18 wheeler on Thursday, March 30th, and was medflighted in critical condition to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where he remains in the trauma ICU.
He sustained numerous injuries including an intracranial bleed, facial lacerations, compound radial fracture which was surgically repaired on Friday 3/31, a broken rib, fractured mandible, and a heartbreaking amount of broken bones in his face requiring multiple extensive surgeries.
Daniel underwent 9 hours of surgery on Monday, 4/3, in which they completed a cranialization as well as began repair of his mandible and many facial fractures. He will require additional surgery to repair his orbits once swelling has decreased further.
Daniel faces a long road to recovery due to the severity of his injuries, including an extended hospital stay, extensive care and physical therapy over the next few months. It goes without saying that he will be unable to work for an extended period of time, will need to replace his car once he's further along in his recovery, and the probable medical bills as insurance may only go so far.
We cannot say enough how much we appreciate the outpouring of support and well wishes that have been flooding in and are eternally grateful that Daniel survived this near-fatal accident.
We are asking everyone who has had their life impacted by Daniel, as the thoughtful, caring and considerate individual that he is, to keep him in your prayers and please consider how you can join us in supporting him and his family during this extremely difficult chapter of his life.
