Recovery Assistance For Jason

Unfortunately I took a bad fall almost 4 weeks ago and have a left compound fracture of my left tibia and fibula and a fractured right heel. I had my 1st surgery on 8/13/23 where rods were placed in my leg. My 2nd surgery was on 8/18/23 and I have 2 plates and an unknown amount of screws requiring 38 staples on both sides of my lower leg. I am now in a rehabilitation center and am wheelchair bound. I am doing PT 5 days a week and can transfer into my wheelchair, take a shower with assistance and move around with some ease. Obviously this is very painful but anyone who knows me knows that I never give up, I have determination and the will to get better and get back on my feet. I just found out today that I don't have Short Term Disability, but I have FMLA and Long Term Disability. This was a devastating conversation that I wasn't prepared for. I don't ask for help but right now I really need it desperately to help pay for my medical bills, my PT, Home Health once I'm discharged; not to mention my regular bills. This injury is so very severe and it is going to be a long recovery and any help you can provide would be so greatly appreciated. My family is down to one income and it's just not enough for us to get by.
