Recovery for Georgia

Hi, my name is Kelly and I am fundraising for our daughter Georgia.

Georgia’s fight against Anorexia began in May 2020 when she was just 13 years old. Over the last 3 years, she has had over 20 hospital admissions and tried every out-patient and in-patient program available in Ontario…. each time being sent home with the message ‘we can’t help you.’ She is now 16 years old, and Anorexia has taken so much of her life away.

Anorexia has the highest mortality rate of any mental illness.

Georgia could be your child. She laughed, she read, she splashed in the pool, begged for ice cream and hummed while she ate. She played with our two dogs and had a paper route. This all stopped 3 years ago when she was diagnosed with Anorexia.

We have been fighting for Georgia’s life every day and lie by her side every night when she sleeps, ours hearts breaking.

It seems unreal that we have had to seek care in the United States and incur the financial burden to save her life but we are out of options for her in Canada and time is running out. She is currently at an Eating Recovery Centre in Dallas, TX fighting for her life.

We have started the Go Fund Me account to pay for her treatment in Dallas, TX and provide her with the level of care and mental health support she needs to beat this devastating mental illness.
