Hello Everyone,
My name is Teresa Scott asking for help for my brother's medical emergency. Please, help my family with the recovery of my brother Juan Hernandez. Who will need to relearn all his basic motor skills, as soon as he becomes conscious. Doctors say its going to be a long journey after he leaves the hospital. Requiring a lot of time in physical therapy to be back were he once was before his accidental fall that caused brain damage.
On August 4th, 2020, on his way home, by the corner of Laurel Canyon and Van Nuys, in the city of Pacoima, my brother Juan fell and severely damaged his head causing cerebral bleeding. As soon as he arrived at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, CA, I was contacted by the medical staff and authorized the necessary surgery doctors requested to stop his brain from bleeding.
However, I am not allowed to visit my brother at the hospital, even after several attempts, due to the pandemic we are in. The only contact I have with him are the amazing nurses who take the time to FaceTime me to see him. I am happy to see he is alive but shows very little to no response when I talk to him and share my best memories with him. I try to make him laugh just to get a hint of a reaction of him. Which he recently made the attempt to nod his head and move his arm. It made me glad to see it! That he is still here!
Since my brother has no health insurance I have made a few payments to the Hospital to help with all the medical expenses. But I can't provide anymore money. I can no longer spend moment I don't have. I hate to give up on my brother without attempting the impossible. I will make every attempt to bring him back to a full recovery.
I am now asking with, a heavy heart, family, friends, friends of friends, and anyone who is willing to help my brother on his long road to recovery. All the donations will be used to cover all medical expenses. I know his recover won't be easy but I want make this miracle happen. I want to see the happy, eccentric, full of laughter, optimistic brother who was always there for me. I need another smile from him! Any donation you will greatly help!
