On Sunday, January 7, Adele Beck suffered traumatic and life-altering injuries in the 11-car and semi-truck collision that happened on an icy Interstate 90 in Montana. This GoFundMe is to support her unmet recovery needs.

The accident occured when a semi-truck jackknifed causing an initialminor collision. Adele was able to bring her car safely to a stop in what was a fender bender. Then another car collided with her vehicle at a very high speed, pushing them under the semi-truck and crushing everything above the window line. Adele's vehicle was not visible sticking out of the undercarriage of the trailer.

The jaws of life were used to remove Adele and her fellow passengers. She was sent to the hospital in montana, where the decision was made to life flight her down to Salt Lake where surgeons there would fight to save as many fingers and functionality on her right hand as possible. As a result of this crash, Adele sustained head injuries, bruising, a fracture in her right shoulder, two fractures to her wrist, extensive skin splitting, a fracture to one finger, a dislocated finger, missing left thumbnail, amputated right index finger, and significant blood loss. Adele is working with her medical team actively to create the best possible medicine plan to

facilitate rest and healing.

Adele is currently being cared for by her parents who flew in from out of state, and loved ones until she is ready to be on her own. Since returning home, night times are the hardest for her, unsurprisingly. Finding a comfortable place to sleep is nearly impossible due to intense pain. She falls asleep randomly and needs help with most things, especially leaving the house for appointments. Adele will be off work for a minimum of three months unpaid leave.
