Recovery mode: Scott & family
Donation protected
Chris here - I've never really been in this position before, and hopefully never will be again. But a very close friend of mine is in need of a little more help than I can offer alone; hence these actions here today.
The Who? Scott is self-employed - A one-man band business fitting windows & doors for a living. He has a wife, 2 kids and a house/home that is heavily reliant on his business income; and that is where we come in right now...
The Why: Unfortunately Scott had an accident at work last week where he fell from a 2 story building, landing flat on his back. He has 6 broken ribs and 6 cracked vertebrae in his lower back. He can move/walk etc which is the good news, and he has been really, really fortunate on that front. The bad news is that he is going to be unable to work for 3-6 months...and for a young family with kids, a mortgage and bills to pay, coupled with the run up to Xmas it's going to be a huge struggle for them to make ends meet.
The Aim: He's a proud man and will get by - It's not a case of life or death. But it is a case of making sure his family have enough money to pay the bills, cover the mortgage and keep the heating on over Xmas...and if we can, ensure at the very least his family can get through this next 3-6 month period unscathed.
The Funds: All funds raised will go to him and his family, and will be solely focused on covering key household bills & spends. It's as simple as that - He has lost his whole livelihood for a period of time, and until he recovers he needs a bit of external help.
Thank you to you in advance - And any help you can offer is massively, massively appreciated.
