Recovery of horses that fell through ice

My good friend, Destiny's, horses escaped their pasture in the middle of the night on Monday. Destiny went searching and found that they had went through the ice on Long Lake. With great help from the fire department and police department, the horses were recovered from the lake. Sadly, Pixie did not survive. The surviving horse, Mia, is currently under vet care at Sunrise Equine where she is being monitored very closely. She is not out of the woods yet but is stable. Her lactic acid levels are very high which can shut down her kidneys. She has suffered severe frostbite and is being treated accordingly. This is going to be a very large and unexpected bill for Destiny and that is why I am asking for help. Any help that anyone is willing to give will be greatly appreciated!
