Help Recreational Coffee due to several break ins.

Hi everyone, my name is Brooklyn- myself and my partner Dan have been the new owners of Recreational Coffee since August of 2023.

Before I became one of the owners of this shop I worked as an employee for almost five years. I've loved and adored my time here; being able to take over this space has been something I'm so incredibly proud of, and getting to know all of our customers (who are just as amazing as our coffee) has been one of the greatest highlights of my career in coffee.

Long Beach has been so good to me and my business, and I could never take it for granted.

Recreational Coffee has experienced two break-ins in just this month alone. While the first break in to our shop was not as intrusive, this second break in has been tough to swallow. In addition to smashing our back door and leaving our cafe a complete mess, they stole our POS system, two shop Ipads that we use for taking orders, our Doordash tablet, and our safe containing money and sensitive information to our second home.

I've never had to start a GoFundMe before, so this is a first for me- we've already received so many positive words and wonderful reach out from fellow businesses and friends, and now we're seeking a bit of financial help just for damages, sales lost, items stolen, etc.

I know times are extremely tough for everyone right now, everyone is going through something or MULTIPLE things, so from the bottom of my heart, I would just like to extend thanks to everyone who has taken the time to check in on Dan and I. I know not everyone has money to give during this rough financial patch we're all experiencing together, so we appreciate words and comfort even more than the funds.
