The Marathon High School and Junior High football teams invite you to participate in the Red Raider Football fundraising campaign!
The Marathon High School and Junior High football teams invite you to participate in a brand-new Red Raider Football fundraiser to purchase several items to promote increased player SAFETY!
With the support of our Red Raider families, fans, and alumni, we know we can reach our goal of raising $7,500 to help purchase the following equipment to ENHANCE SAFETY for our players ― both in practice and during games:
HELMETS — We’ve started to purchase new, safer helmets. They’re rated 5/5 stars for safety. Each helmet = $200 (approx.).
SHOULDER PADS — The newest shoulder pads are lighter and more durable, which create a better fit for the player, increasing safety. Each shoulder pad = $180.
TACKLING WHEELS — Tackling other players in practice is now limited by rules governing football. So, in order to practice using the correct tackling form, coaches would like to incorporate tackling wheels into practice. Each tackling wheel = $350 (approx.).
Other items in need:
BLOCKING SLED — The dummies on the sled are ripping apart and need to be reupholstered before they’re beyond repair. Repair cost = $750 (approx.); Replacement cost = $5,500 (approx.).
STAND-UP DUMMIES — The current stand-up dummies are ripping apart at the seams. Each new dummy = $200.
Football is a great sport, but it has quite the list of expenses!
We feel this new GoFundMe fundraiser campaign is great because it allows you to DONATE ANY AMOUNT ($5, $10, $25, anything is greatly appreciated) to support the safety of our players. By not having something for the team to sell to raise money, there’s NO PRESSURE for you to buy something that you don’t need or want…
What’s more — This fundraiser will GIVE BACK 97% OF ALL FUNDS RAISED directly to our football programs. (Many fundraisers only give back 70% or less.)
DEADLINE: Sunday, May 5
If a football player has asked for your donation, then when donating please select that player's name so he can get credit.
We THANK YOU for helping support the Red Raider Football program — and the improved safety of our players!
Any questions about the fundraiser can be directed to Coach Ryan Winkler, [phone redacted] x.4213
