22 years on Manhattan's 36th street presented many challenges and obstacles that come with doing business in Gotham, but nothing could prepare me or the RED ROCKET TATTOO FAMILY for the massive interruption of the Covid-19 Pandemic! This unprecedented event has turned the CENTER OF THE WORLD into the EPICENTER for America. We have been shaken to the core.
RED ROCKET TATTOO has been closed for two months now and our re-open date is in question. We have all applied for everything available to us, the SBA, PPP, Unemployment, grants, other loans, relief and assistance programs and done our due diligence, forking over loads of sensitive information on confusing applications. We have created artwork and good for sale and are preparing to return to work. None of this is enough to sustain anyone for long. THE BILLS KEEP ROLLING IN!
As a close knit group of talented people, we are families with children, beloved pets, homes, obligations, hopes and dreams. Our newest artist Mike Stapleton, just now trucked it across the USA with his wife and dog to begin a new life in New York at RED ROCKET TATTOO. Right into the thick of things. He hasn't even officially busted his cherry tattooing as a RED ROCKET TATTOO FAMILY member yet! Lame.
Remaining closed for an unknown time period is forcing us to humbly reach out yet again for support and assistance. To date, RED ROCKET TATTOO has used donated GO FUND ME funds to give a small relief package to each artist and worker to help with expenses and used the rest towards one month's rent.
We would like to enthusiastically thank everyone who has contributed to date. It is difficult to adequately express the gratitude we feel for your donations and the love we feel from the love you've shown!
