Hello potential donors!

I have created this gofund me account as a means to help me take the next step in my progression as a Photographer. I have recently become a published artist as some of my photos were included in the book "The Grand Lady of the Lake" by Michelle Trappen. I encourage you all to seek it out, it's a wonderful book about the history of the Lake Yellowstone Hotel.

I have also recently completed a Yellowstone Association field guide course called "Winter Landscape Photography". It was a wonderful class and enabled me to learn more about my camera and the benefits of a good editing program. But what I also learned is that my current camera is holding me back from my full potential as an artist. Even though I have been able to take beautiful pictures with my current equipment, I will not be able to take the level of photos that I aspire to reach. 

At this time I am in the beginnings of creating my own photography book that will include the story of how I arrived in Yellowstone with nothing more than a camera phone to document my time in the park and how I progressed over the next three years. Photography has become less of a hobby for me and more of a passion. Not only do I plan I doing this book but I also will be creating an official website (Red Beard Photography) where prints, cards and maybe even calendars will be available for purchase.

Now as some of you may know, working in Yellowstone is one of the coolest places you could ever wish for. Unfortunately, it is not one of the highest paying places you could wish for. Because of this, I am looking for support from my fans, friends and family to reach my goals and be able to purchase the needed tools to be successful. Below you will see detailed information about the camera and lens that I am trying to raise money for as they will take me to the level I need to be at. I have also included some of my pictures for your enjoyment and to get an idea of what I do and the current level I am at. Everyone that donates to my project will get to select a picture from my future online gallery and I will send a print to say thanks.  Anyone that donates more than a hundred dollars will be receiving a special thanks in my book and will also get a canvas print of one of my gallery pictures.
