Bring Clean Drinking Water to Red Hill Students
Donation protected
Aloha and mahalo nui loa for your interest in helping the students of Red Hill Elementary School who have been affected by the fuel contamination in the Red Hill area of Hawaii.
Since the catastrophic fuel leaks contaminated the water source in the area, students and their families have been unable to use or consume the water in their homes and school. "Highly volatile aliphatic compounds are assumed to be rapidly emitted from the water" stated the US Environmental Protection Agency. The water is unsafe to drink, clean with or use for laundry or bathing.
WAIEA Water and WAIEA Water Foundation in collaboration with Red Hill Elementary School and community partners are raising money to bring a 100 gallon Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG) to the school. This AWG makes water from air through advanced patented technology. This means the water is free from contaminants, with no added chemicals. The water produced will be fresh, clean and pure drinking water.
The 22 classrooms will enjoy uncontaminated drinking water which they can consume at school and take home in reusable bottles.
This is an opportunity to help hundreds of children and their families who find themselves in an unimaginable situation. Their health is at risk and they are lacking one of the most basic human necessities, water.
We ask for your help—your kokua—in bringing this sustainable water machine to Red Hill Elementary. We have had success in bringing drinking water to remote Fiji, now help us bring clean water to a community close to our heart and home.
WAIEA Water Foundation is a registered 501(C)3. We believe clean water is a basic human right, and our mission is to bring a safe, accessible and reliable water source to in-need areas around the globe.
Our vision is to empower communities to lead healthier and sustainable lifestyles, fight disease and to better their economic situation through access to clean water.
