Redlynch & Hale Cricket Club New Nets Project
Donation protected
Redlynch and Hale Cricket Club have qualified for an ECB grant of £10,000 towards a new double bay artificial cricket net at a total cost of £36,000 and we are therefore looking to raise funds towards the balance. The club is one of only two in Wiltshire who have been awarded a grant towards new match and practice facilities having met all the required criteria. R & H C.C. is run entirely by volunteers who prepare and maintain the ground and coach over 100 juniors through the club's colts section and the ECB's All Stars and Dynamos programs. The new nets are required to provide good quality practice and coaching facilities for the colts sides at Under 9, 11 and 13 and the Clubs senior sides which this year includes for the first time a ladies hardball side along with ladies softball, 3 senior Saturday elevens, a Sunday friendly side and an evening T20 team. With several local towns and villages no longer having a cricket team and few opportunities for juniors locally Redlynch and Hale C.C. provides cricket for a wide area including Downton. We are hoping to raise £5,000 towards the total cost of the project, anybody donating £50 or more will be recognised by being made a Patron of the Cricket Club.
We thank anybody who is able to give us any support with our ambitious 'once in a generation' project which will benefit cricketers in the area for years to come.
Donations will go straight into the cricket club account via our Treasurer Colin Eveleigh. Be aware there is a Go FundMe tip which will be added to the cost of your donation if you do not change it !
