Reducing carbon emissions by responsible travel

I (Owen - 13 years old) have been selected to attend a leadership conference in London Ontario that will in part focus on raising awareness of environmental issues. However, it seems hypocritical to fly there, which is a major source of carbon emissions. Thus, I have explored with my mom the possibility of travelling by electrical vehicle rather than plane. However, it is more costly!! I hope to use this experience to help raise awareness about the environmental impact of flying by blogging about the trip and also sharing my thoughts on how to be a responsible traveller and consumer.
