The Red Yarn Project

The Red Yarn Project, based out of Belleville, Ontario was created to help provide Syrian refugees who are coming into Canada,  with warm, winter clothing like hats, scarves and mittens. Our project creates hand-crafted items by knitting, crocheting or sewing and will be making them available to all new Syrians arriving in Canada.

Regardless of our own political beliefs, As Canadians,  we believe that we should respond by showing them love, hope, and the generosity that is Canada's global reputation.

We are also accepting donations through this GoFundMe campaign so we can purchase yarn and supplies for our volunteers. 100% of your donations will
used by the Red Yarn Project for materials or related expenses. Remaining funds may be used to purchase household items requested by the local Canadian Immigration Association.
